Off The Top: Top 25 Centers

With the season still on the fence, I’ve decided to create some position rankings. I did this before the started as well, but things have changed since then. The special part about the, “Off The Top,” series is that it is just off the top of my head. I don’t go looking up stats. I’ve looked up two things: What positions they are listed as according to https://www.basketball-reference.com and to create a list of point guards so I wouldn’t forget any names.

The Top 5

  1. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers: Embiid is probably the most overall talented on both ends of the floor with plenty of room to grow as he matures. He’s the best player on Philly and they need him to continue maturing for them to reach their potential as a team.

  2. Karl Anthony-Towns, Minnesota Timberwolve: KAT is nipping on Embiids heels right now. He’s young, athletic and is a much better defender than he’s shown. He just like Embiid need to mature and it would help if he was on a good team.

  3. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets: An absolute wizard at times with amazing vision. Always has a trick up his sleeve on offense.

  4. Deandre Ayton, Phoenix Suns: Yet another big that just needs to continue maturing, but Ayton has already been a force and will likely climb up this list.

  5. Andre Drummond, Cleveland Cavaliers: Drummond is a legitimate monster on the boards. He’s not the most polished low post player but with his size, strength and athleticis, it doesn’t really matter.
