Off The Top: Top 50 NBA Players

With the season still on the fence, I’ve decided to create some position rankings. I did this before the started as well, but things have changed since then. The special part about the, “Off The Top,” series is that it is just off the top of my head. I don’t go looking up stats. I’ve looked up two things: What positions they are listed as according to https://www.basketball-reference.com and to create a list of point guards so I wouldn’t forget any names.

The Top Five

1. LeBron James- PG, Los Angeles Lakers: LeBron is still indeed the king and will be probably until he feels like retiring. Which he is 35, so that could be soon.

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo- PF, Milwaukee Buck: The Greek Freak is getting closer and closer to be the best of the best. And at the young age of 25 and his work ethic, he could be the best player in the league by the tine he’s 30(it will help when LeBron retires).

3. Kevin Durant- SF, Brooklyn Nets: We didn’t get to see Durant play this season but he is absolutely still one of the best players in the league. You could argue he should be higher. But that can be said for many on the list.

4. Kawhi Leonard- SF, Los Angele Clippers: The Claw is the quite superstar. Arguably the best defender in the league and probably the best mid range game in the league.

5. Stephen Curry- PG, Golden State Warriors: The best 3-point shooter could definitely be higher, but no shame being at number five. Curry is the best point guard in the NBA in most years(when LeBron isn’t considered a PG) with great handles and an underrated playmaker.
